Re: It's coming

It's the new EVO 54

Going to go in the Hanger 9/Carden Yak or anything I can find that'll it fit in.

This engine has the same mounting dimension, same exhaust bolt pattern and same prop bolt pattern as the DA 50

Re: It's coming

Now thats one sweet looking engine. Are you getting it from Forgues?
I could see myself dumping an almost new, perfectly good DA50 just for the bling factor on this baby.

OK if you are paying the shipping then what do you need Forgus for?

Order direct.

A lot of Hobby stores don't stock stuff but you don't get charged extra for them to bring it in. Well maybe you do but then they should work that into their selling price. Not post one price on a site then say "oh but by the way..." Would be easier and less offensive to most just to say the engine costs this much. Not $ + Shipping + Shipping.

Re: It's coming

I,d much rather go through Roger, if only for warranty reasons and his good customer service. I have paid my LHS a brokerage fee if I want something special from the U.S on a couple of occasions. I order the item, send it to his U.S address and he delivers it to me.
Its worth the small premium every time. At least to me it is.
Yah gotta love the Bling though.

Re: It's coming

Hello Jack,

We know that you are a engine guy, appreciate good engines, the EVO 54 certianly looks very nice, I'm curious how does the EVO compare to DA 50 or Taurus. Would you care to
tell us the cost to get one.

A Quick Google search found;

http://www.airtrade.pl/html/en-evoen.html
which listed 590 Euros in Poland = $926 Cdn

In Canada we have;
http://www.forgues-research.com/

in Ontario, he doesn't list a price - you have to call for a quote, but the Specs are available for a host of EVO engines - very impressive, but I think I'll stick to Desert Aircraft, and DL is starting to look interesting.

To each their own.
