Tutor Fans,

I received the Build Manual for the Pusher Tutor. Feel free to browse through it. Any feedback is appreciated.

Tutor Build Manual

I posted a video of the Prototype Pusher on the Site. It is a collection of five separate flights. Sorry about the poor quality, had to go with the older Camera. Please, turn down your sound system before starting your preview, the music came through too loud. It should give you a good idea on how it performs.

Thanks to all that posted and PM'd!

Re: CT-114 Tutor (CL-41A)

rusty33,

You have it right, the boat should be pulling along side the dock this week. That is unless customs has other ideas. Has happened before, 3 weeks late.

One EDF, still don't know how many pushers.

There is another "Stock Order" in the works.

Thanks,

Hey, just wondering..... do you have to do anything special to have the prop stop horizontal because this is a belly lander???

Good Question,

The device is called a "Prop-Saver" Instead of using a spinner or nut to secure the prop, this device uses an elastic band or O-ring to hold the prop in position.
Then in case of a rough touchdown, the prop can break away from the driveshaft.

In the video, we used an o-ring type saver. It is also a good idea to completely cut power before touchdown!!

I have not come across a device to ensure a prop position upon shutdown with an electric. I know it is more predictable with a two stroke IC.

I have been flying pushers for a few years now... everyone of them are "Belly Landers".... I can count on one hand how many props I broke blades off. Taller grass helps a lot as well.

Hope this helps!

Sam,

Thanks for your interest. We are still testing the EDF version of the Tutor. I know GAD UK is trying to get theirs launched. It's been really gusty there these last few days. I also know that there was a fellow booked to capture the flight on video for us on Thursday. Hopefully by the end of this weekend.

When they say that it's good, I'll pass it on to you folks here and we'll get the ball rolling.

Please be patient. We want to make sure it's good.

Re: CT-114 Tutor (CL-41A)

To all,

The shipment we are waiting for has 2 Pusher Tutors, 1 EDF Tutor, Hawks(EDF), Starfighters(EDF) and Phantoms(TwinEDF).

Mike informed me at our Thursday breakfast meeting, UK customs is checking every package. This is because of some counterfeiting that has been occurring. Order a DVD player and receive a fruitcake, you know.... Great!! Delay is 3 to 4 days.

Between that and the looming Canada Post issues here.... who knows for sure.

Thank you for your continued patience, I'm getting anxious too!
