Getting back in to flyin. Whats the TS stand for on the side of the motor??

I broke part of the muffler flange off and wondering what to do?? I dont know if there is parts for it or not?? Or just buy the same motor again and I have parts??

Thanks Damon

Re: Need to identify a motor.

Hi

It looks like the damage is on the main casting.
I think it is likely cheaper to just buy another engine.
By the time you buy a crankcase and gaskets (if needed) it can get expensive.
On top of that you have the difficulty of removing the bearings without damaging them.
Is the crankshaft OK?

46 size engines are pretty cheap.
See what you can get one for, here on RC Canada.

Re: Need to identify a motor.

It doesn't hurt to try, but Great Hobbies has new Super Tiger 45 ABC on sale for $64.99.

http://www.greathobbies.com/producti..._id=SUPGS45ABC

GMS are also pretty cheap.

To me the difference in price between a used engine and a new one isn't that much.

Re: Need to identify a motor.

Just to let you know what the TS stands for.. If I remember correctly its for Tiger Shark... Chinese engine probably out of the same factory that makes GMS.. As Ken says your better off just getting a new one, to fix that one isn't worth the time or money..
