Fantastic work both of you guys. Us with less skill or less space (or both!) are happily jealous!

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

I used the Lozengtex on my DVII. It is really nice to work with, but make sure you use a sock on your iron. Keep up the great work!

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

I decided to add gussets to the N struts.Seen this mod on RCScalebuilder where the highflyer2 showed his D7 build.Great job and he only took a year to build it..
JB Weld is used here should be a good solid joint with the aluminum gussets added

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Steve,
I did do the rib stitches and tapes, lots of work but well worth the end result. Albatros (O.A.W OR Alb) built aircraft had either pink (salmon) or blue rib tapes. Fokker (Fok) built aircraft had the same colour rib tapes as the lozenges. Look at the serial number of the full size DVII you are modeling it will tell you who manufactured that particular DVII. As my particular model was Fokker built I used torn strips of Lozengetex as rib tape. Also remember the bottom Lozenge pattern is a lot lighter in colour than the top.
