Good to clarify, appears to be two separate issues there.
The guy from my post above has the random deflections but from his decriptions he has a bit of both.

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

Glad you're enjoying the Extra Brad! I'm missing it! I have not had a plane to fly as its been taking awhile to get mine in their air and then had my big 160amp esc blow. Defective unit according to Castle. So its in for warranty and I picked up another one. Test run tonight shows its good so far but I'l have to grab a hand and test it out with a prop on it :P

Now that I'm back into electrics full swing I'm looking at my stack of 6S battery packs and I'm tempted to pick up the electric version of that 78" extra I sold you and do a light weight 6s or heavier 12s setup

It's a pretty safe bet that you'll have an awesome flying plane if you go that route!

I have been doing a lot of reading about this airframe. I have been considering converting it to electric.
Most guys are either running an 8S or 10S setup on it.
This airframe is bigger than all the others in its class. 6S will be lacking unless you can get it down to 9.5 lbs.
A 12S setup will be heavy.

There are a couple of them at the clubs I fly with and they're both setup on 10s 5000mAh. Seems to fly around great on that setup. Tonnes of power for 3d and still floaty.

Thanks Tyler, Dennis from Carden told me the only reason they offer a 50cc kit(Cuda) is to get unsuspecting modelers hooked on their designs.
Worked on me. One of their 35s next.
The Cuda has been huge fun to build and fly.

So true.
Wait until you do a 35%

I think you will enjoy building it even more than the Cuda.

And since you have the Cuda under your belt, a 35% will be a cake walk for you

Re: Hitec 7950 servo testing, evaluation and experiences

I'm looking forward to it. The Cuda turned out pretty good but the next one should be a lot better. Durants more lightening etc.
The first component arrived today, a tail servo I bought here on RCC, just before you stared this thread. A nib 7950. Hopefull I get to use it.
Good luck with the regulator.

Some additional food for thought, I fly one of the EF78's Tyler refers to and it is loaded with 5 7955's driven by 2 8.4v Lipo's direct into Futaba 2.4GHz receiver with no issues.

Awesome, I have 7955's on the elevators of the Carden. They haven't given me any issue either.
My EF78-300 has 4 x 5985 ( ail + ele ) and a 7954 on the rudder.
t is powered by a Hobbico Lifesource LiFe. No issues there either.
