2011 XRay XB808

Well it's that time again. Yes... another year has gone by and XRay is releasing another update to the XB808. All worries have been addressed! Well with one exception. the centre driveshafts pins are no longer captured. No biggie IMVHO. Wheel-pins are still captured but it looks as though XRay has gone back to the the XT8 style of CVD and bearings!! No more worrying about those funky 13x19x4 bearings. Looks like good ol' regular 8x16x5 goodness!

Too funny!! Sorry I don't have a retort as both of you are much faster than I am so any funnin' on my part would be rendered moot by my on-track performance

Still a couple of things about the XB808 that leave me wanting. Why no clunk-type tank?! Why no rubber boots to cover the CVD's? Minor details for a later revision I hope. This buggy just keeps getting better and better!

Thats the only thing i don't like about my MBX6 is no clunk tank (i modded mine so it is now a clunk tank) and no rear cvd boots, it has them in the center but i could care less about having them there.

I've been thinking about adapting another MFG's clunk-style tank. Covered centres would be nice too.

Thanks Kev. Maybe I'll pop into the Ballistic tour bus with some grub and we can reminisce about times gone by. I'd listen for the metal but Necrophagist or Nile will be overpowering my eardrums already! \m/
