team losi got sold years ago when horizon bought gil losi out....a few yrs later gil losi announced that he was leaving and going to kyosho you know something isn't right when you leave a company that bare's your dang name

gil losi said it years ago that they will never make an RTR, that all kits will be pro quality only! now that horizon took over...everything is coming ARR and RTR

why do you think that the losi 8B came kit form and the truck was delayed and popped up as a "race roller" that's not what gil wanted

i heard first hand about losi going retail right from the horses mouth at the buggy nats.

Losi RTR from Walmart? I always thought of RTR to be toy grade entertainment. I can just see the first runs of these. You'll see a whole bunch of people at the track with the EXACT SAME body, same style, paint, everything. Can you imagine the chaos?

And the winner is... the Orange Losi.

All racers: "I won! No, I won. No I won. No I won." and so on, and so on. Bring on the billy clubs.

Can't wait for the 08 season to begin.

if that is whats coming out it would be awesome. but if they start selling it at wal-mart...i dont know about that... are they ganna have a huge parts wall and say, ONLY run wal-marts TOP nitro through your nitro model for the best performance! lol

It would be alright if they had the parts there. But then every one who has a losi is ganna feel like there truck is crap cuz its from wal mart.

lol i cant see losi cars from walmart winning anything. people are gonna return cars because of a stripped spur gear or something stupid like a lost wheel pin. that is unless losi makes toys when you can move the motor or anything and where nothing will be adjustable. also i see quality going down, walmart is huge and they want alot of everything for every store so the factories have to work pretty hard to produce all the stuff and for sure they will make the plastic "dollar store quality"

no you won't - if they market them to walmart customers then they'll be used in backyards, parks and the roads in front of their houses. very very few would ever trickle down to a racing event.

that would be awesome, now I won't get motherf'd everytime I run my motors outside the house because everyother kid in the neighborhood will have a noise maker. The backyard BBQ's will have a new twist. Fathers drinking taking bets there lil mug is faster, jumping the pool with the kids in it, the possibilities endless!!

Walmart?

As fas as Wal-mart selling a nitro RC, lets not forget that Crappy Tire has been doing the same for a while now:

http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...romSearch=true

I am sure that the hobby shops and purists might disagree somewhat, but I think that these going mainstream in retail stores is good for the hobby in general. More people out with thier RC's would result in more tracks, etc. Besides, I think that is all of the trucks on the track looked the same, racing would be a lot more interesting, lol.

Sure, the hop up parts might not be there, but Wal-marts liberal return policy would make learning how to tune a nitro a lot less painless. I would call it the "lean it a leave it" or "burn it and return it" policy, lmao.

its going to be really * stupid if they sell it at wall-mart plus they are only gonna sell the mocros because who goes into wall mart and buyes one item for 600 dollers i doesnt happen so there will probably be the litle micros so it is easy for kids and there will probably be spares aswell i think it is really stupid though
