Respect ?

When you go to someone's home and they ask you to take your shoes off when you come in, I would bet most everyone here would respect their wishes. You are, after all, their guest.

So why is it when our host at RC Canada asks his guests to not post political topics in his forums, that request gets ignored? It's pretty much all he has asked of any of us and please remember that this is his "home". Sometimes responding to these posts is no different than starting one either. I know there are several other online areas that thrive on this stuff, Jason has told us, a number of times now, that this site doesn't.

Folks, I ain't looking for a fight, an argument or a discussion on this. We're guests here, why can't we respect our host, Jason's wishes? It's really as simple as that.

Just some food for thought.

Bob

HEAR HEAR for brother "BOB". Well said. Maybe Jason just has to get tough and start banning more than 1 person to get the point across.
Not hard to understand.............. "NO POLITICS!!!!" That's what JASON has said as term of privilage to be allowed to be a guest or member of this site.
That's what the MAAC site is for. Leave it up to the ZD's to post political issues there and argue the debates there.

Thanks Bob. I personally think that you put this concern in a well thought out and well written post.

As you and others can see by the number of posts I make and respond to each day, that I spend a fair amount of time here on RCCanada. I enjoy the common exchange of ideas and the ability to help out others where I can. I would be quite lost without this avenue of communication.

This is a service that is provided free of charge by our graceous host. It really is a matter of respect to abide by the few simple rules established here for the good of all members by our host. Lets show our appreciation by doing what we can to not only follow the rules but to be a "Positive" contributor to this site.

I feel you have made an excellent point Bob. We may feel that we just have to respond when someone makes a negative comment, to set matters straight. Well, in fact, we may just be keeping the fires burning and falling right into the hands of those who would rather cause a disturbance than add to the over all good of our RC community. I have said in a prevous thread that we should just ignore these people and soon with no contraversy to stirr, they will go away. By keeping such a thread going by our having our say, we, as you say Bob, may be just as bad as the individual(s) trying to keep the mud slinging politics going.

Excellent post my friend.

So, lets kick off the shoes at the front door, pull up a comfortable seat, and enjoy our host's fine home along with the excellent servings of those who want to enjoy the best website on the whole WWW!

Thanks again Bob for a great post and Thankyou Jason for your kindness is inviting us here!

I'm also with you guys. I like the technical end of it and don't need the garbage they want to start.
Thanks Jason for letting me be here.

Sory if i offended anyone. I'm new to this kind of communicating and quite new to computers. I feel responsible somewhat because i asked more questions regarding politics than i should. It won't happen again
I like this site, its information but more so the people on it. I feel i'm making new friends that share the same interests as me. "the hobby"
THANK YOU Jason for allowing me to use your services. Again I'M SORY
