The only stipulation was to "TRY". No promises, just Try. And in Sandro's post, he confirms that we were trying to get one in the air this fall. After I spent my bucks and gave him the fuselage, for 6-7 months Sandro did less than Try, he's done NOTHING! and worse, , , NEVER TOLD ANYONE! All secret secret with him, he ignored each time that I posted asking him to please show something. I saw his name numerous times at the bottom of the screen reading my request to post something. But I see he doesn't miss very many weekends out flying. I honestly perceive that he was on his own agenda to collect what he could and not share anything, with the hopes of having the only flying model. I truly feel suckered out of alot of bucks. Re: Sandro Novelli - Arrow Project
That sucks Mike,
If you weren't on the other side of the world (might as well be on a tight timeline like this) I'd come by and do the formers for you. Honestly I think I could knock them out in 2 days or less, I've been building airplanes, guitars, and custom vehicles for years, formers are definitely not a big issues... |

They're not a big deal at all, especially since they were roughed out right off the plug. But I guess it's really too late now. But there's always the next Centennial 100 years from now. Last edited by Mike Emilio; 08-22-2009 at 11:31 AM. |

http://www.flightofthesilverdart.ca/ Events are staged all across Canada. The General (BGen) in Ottawa was really impressed when he found out about the only turbine powered giant Arrow in the world. We even talked about the prospects of the Airforce inviting Jim Floyd. Naturally, any flight schedualling of our turbine Arrow would have been his call. As we all know, not much hoopla surrounds the guys that supply parts and such, 90% of the Lime-Light goes to the builder/flier. And that was originally planned for either Peter Eicas or Sandro. Who knows, 5 years from now it might have been on a collector's postage stamp. By moving into secret mode all these past months, this smart guy Sandro, has caused more damage than he can know. Re: Sandro Novelli -Kills Arrow Project
Nothing to do with the discussion, but Mike, Peter's name is Peter Ayache, his handle here on RCC is Eicas.

Contrary to Sandro's deceiving post of "several other members", it's still the same one (1), and only guy. and NOT "several"! What the heck is "you'll see why" supposed to imply!!!! Interestingly, no need to state names, , , but I've been getting correspondance confirming that Sandro has been actively discussing the Arrow project in terms of failing, so I guess there's a connection there. Re: Sandro Novelli -Kills Arrow Project
Mike, not sure if you want to go the legal route, but one thing that did spring out from the receipt for the fuselage was that you do have a right to the formers. I know that you'd said that Sandro had writen his name all over them. From waht I read, the agreement does give you the right to use those formers (or at least accurate tracings of them) as you see fit.
Or did he take the formers with him after the photoshoot? I'd suggest that you contact a lawyer via the Law Society of Upper Canada referral service and see what recourses you have and what the various options are. The service is free for a half-hour consultation. Since you're out-of-pocket specifically for the purposes of getting the first fuselage to Sandro, there may be something that the lawyer can help you with. I know, litigation sucks the big one. However, being played the fool sucks even more. Did you have a formal partnership agreement or at least notes of the original conference call(s) and other meetings where the basic partnership was laid out (cash for fuselages, who does what, what sort of timeline was discussed, upcoming events.... etc.) Pack them along to the meeting with the lawyer. You may not have a formal agreement but the notes and other items would certainly prove the business relationship and the duties and responsibilities of specific partners. Anyway, this is my $0.02US of observation and advise from the peanut gallery. Sad to see a project like this crash and burn in such a manner. Oh well, time to dig out my 1/24th Arrow drawings and start building another depron bird. I think this one will be a 55mm twin edf. Of course, I also have to finish off the FOUR projectsthat are piled in the workshop first. Last edited by Guest; 08-25-2009 at 08:47 PM. |

What he has no longer matters to us. Since this development with Sandro, I had to work them all out a second time. Brad is now working on it. |

The Centennial is up 31-Dec-2009. But things would need to be scheduled way before that. The filming is seperate and apart from this, although trying to be rolled into the same time frame. If not, the filming would still continue, and the Defence folks might still have something up their sleeve for next year. How often does anyone ever get the chance of being a part of history! If we couldn't do it, I'd say, , , at least we gave it a shot in trying guys, , , lets go out for dinner. That's all anyone was asked, just TRY. There's many emails that went around, but this one basically explains it. At this point it was the legalities of a copyright issue. For someone to unexpectedly start advertising their name on the parts is really dumb, throws a monkey-wrench into everything, putting the brakes on real quick.
