Re: BBT Lightened 43% Edge w/ Piped ZDZ180

I got the cowl trimmed and both halves bolted together

The normal practice is to use 4-40 buttonhead screws with t-nuts on 1/8" ply plates on the inside!.... weight = 1.3oz

Instead, I'm going with the alternative method of pine rectangles with wood screws. I've used this method in the past with never a problem and I've seen others use it also (ie: Steve Johnston!!) And it's light!!

Savings = 1oz!

Cummulative Savings = 45.2oz

Re: BBT Lightened 43% Edge w/ Piped ZDZ180

A few shots of the cowl rough-fitted around the cowl rings!

Next step is to bolt up the ZDZ180 and tweak various areas of the cowl ring so that the cowl is perfectly flush with the fuse
