50cc-sized Spitfire?

Hi guys,

Does a 50cc-sized Spitfire exist in an ARF? I'm watching Troy Built Models' line of warbird ARFs, but I'm afraid that a Spitfire is quite a ways away.

I guess the next best thing would be a KMP Spitfire http://www.kmp.ca/product_info.php?c...dd7feca177cf8a with a 26cc. Any comments from anyone who flies one?

Thanks in advance everyone....

Marc

Re: 50cc-sized Spitfire?

I Mark
I was in the same situation a few weeks ago and decided to go with 72'' KMP Spitfire. The quality and finish are outstanding and you could get a discount if you buy the 26CC gas engine from KMP. I bought the KMP stock retrack and everything comes in doublebox for those rough UPS guys.... I am really impressed by the kit!

Re: 50cc-sized Spitfire?

Thanks, good to know.

I e-mailed TBM last month a couple of times about a time estimate for their Spitfire (if there is even one coming) but no reply from them, so they appear to be either busy designing or weak on customer service (as I expected from a large distributor like this).

I do have my heart set on a 85"+ WS Spit for a 50cc, but the KMP looks pretty sweet, pricey though!

Re: 50cc-sized Spitfire?

You may want to look at the Cermark Spit. It takes a 26 gasser and is 71" wing span but flies and looks GREAT.

Re: 50cc-sized Spitfire?

Hi BigBreeze

I know that this is an old thred , but , I was looking at a SpitFire 50cc , designed around the DA50 . I did find the kit expensive . Have a look

Hi Marc Charles here, you wont find any nicer kit than the Yellow Aircraft Spitfire & this kit goes together very easy & the results are stunning.
