I purchased a very nice built Brian Taylor harvard last year.
I have all the electronics, and engine installed, but still need to cg the aircraft.
Would anyone know the cg to this aircraft? It has a 94'' wingspan.
Any help would be great . Thanks

I beleive I still have a set of plans for the smaller version of that Harvard, from which BT blew up to the larger size. I can check where he has the CofG on those plans, it should give you relatively close to what you need.

Re: Brian Taylor harvard

I was able to find the BT Harvard plans. They are for a Harvard he drew in 1972 the wingspan is 67 1/2" the scale is 1 5/8" = 1'0" (why couldn't he put it in plain english sheesh!) The chord of the rib is 11 3/4" and the CofG point is 3 3/4" from the leading edge (about 32% of the chord??)

Maybe some math guru can correct me.

Hope this helps ya.

Re: Brian Taylor harvard

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look. I do believe that the spar is about 1/3 of the chord,so that must be close.

Re: Brian Taylor harvard

I have a set of BT 94" harvard plans. Over the years I have seen a lot of posts on miss balanced Harvards in every size. On BT's plans the balance point is 7 5/8" back from the front edge of the fiberglass wheel wells. And just so you can double check it is 11 5/8" ahead of the trailing edge.
