I finally got my JR Ergo .30 SS into the air yesterday. Received it from a friend back in October. She was a little rough around the edges. But I took the winter to take her all apart and give it a good cleaning and once over. Replaced all the links and such. I installed an Algin 2 in 1 voltage reg and glow igniter..added a 2oz header tank and installed a twin support for the tail boom.

I'm running a Spectrum H6040 for the tail. That is connected to a JR G5000T gyro. The cyclics are JR NES 517's and the throttle is a JR Sport ST47BB.

She hovered pretty solid...just need to do the final tweaks. I set it all up pretty much according to the manual. A couple of turns on the links to bring the tracking inline.

I would have gone out today to put another tank through her but the weather isn't really cooperating

But that said...overall really happy with it! Looking forward to getting her out to the field so I can really stretch her wings!

Hey Stew!

Thanks!...It had suffered a crash last July out at the airfield and Dan just never got around to fixing it. So he gave her to me. I tore her down to nothing and gave her a good cleaning and going over everything. Needed a new main shaft, feathering shaft. Took the FM out and put a Spectrum setup in. Still running the same motor... OS .32. I have been looking for a bigger motor for when this one gives up. She's pretty cheap on fuel as well.

I've been Alberta busy since I got here. Flat out crane hoisting and building. See the Facebook for some cool crane pictures! I did manage to build me a new trex 600 with all the nice fixins runnin 12s. I made it to a few indoor flying nights but the 130x microheli tail pitch slider is screwed. It's all hopped up too. Other than that work work work. Busy as ell here.
