Well its all over for another year......

I think there were over 120 registered pilots in 4 classes, with FAI and Masters being the two biggest (28 and 42 respectively).

The weather was excellent, some wind on and off but not too hot like it has been in the past when I was there.

The competition was extremely stiff in FAI, mainly because they were selecting their national team from the results so everyone attended and all were well practised. The Canadians placed 11th, 18th, and 27th.

There were a couple of midairs, both in FAI destroying 3 airplanes and partially damaging one. I witnessed one of the midairs and the planes hit nose to nose, amazing the precision we fly our distances

I am posting up the prelimary (Monday thru Wednesday scores) I dont have the finals scores but the order went like this....

1 Jason Shulman
2 Quique Somenzini
3 Chip Hyde
4 Sean McMurtry
5 Don Szczur
6 Troy Newman
7 Andrew Jesky
8 Kenny Lauter

US Nats Preliminary Results

YS completely dominated in FAI being the only engine used from 2nd - 11th place, 1st place was an electric. Seems like the two stroke engines are losing their grip. There were three electric models in total for all classes.

Anyways, 1 more day off then out to Ontario for a couple of weeks for our Nats and Team selection

A couple of pictures of the Canadians doing a little practise.
