Hey, I have a GP 123. Follow Trevors lead, put headers ES pipes on it. Only to find out 1 month later. It is only Hype. Now he is trying those Pro R/C no-name pipes.
Geeez.

I think I better skip the Hype, follow my trusted friend, happy Jack.

ROTFL!!!! No Hype there Dale. The ES pipes are where it's at!! Mine are just really old. I need one for the GP61 and the other one is pretty much shot, but they served me well and I'll have ES pipes in the future

Lorne liked these no-namers, so thought I'd inflict some Beta testing on myself, LOL. Win some, lose some. I'm hoping I win, LOL

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Lorne had poor length. Over heating. You get to do the home-work.
My guess is 12.25 will be the number.

You are easy to get material on, buddy.

So now when guy's ask. What have I got on my Extra to make it so quiet. Reply, a pair of 30 day Hype pipes. Ha-ha.

Need to go, Arlene is waiting. Hmm, maybe in the car already!

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Dale... the GP123 on the ES Pipes is a crazy awesome combo! Hands down better than RE2's on the GP but every motor seems to behave differently on different pipes. I've yet to try Smoothpipes on the GP, however the test stand numbers were similar to the ES pipes (however best is to fly it, which I haven't).

If these no-namer pipes don't perform, I'll either get a new set of ES pipes or may consider doing smoothpipes.

What are you running on your DA120, Hanes? I ran the ES pipes on the DA120 for a few flights and it was quite quiet and a nice sound. I remember the DA and GP sounded really nice on the RE2's also (but that was the stand only)

Not too worried about the beating. The whole family of DA's will be there this weekend. I should take a family picture so you can get an understanding of brand loyalty.

BTW, how long do you think it would take for the bond on aluminum pipes to break down from heat and oil. Maybe 1000 flying years of heat cycles with no wack-a-doos in the equation.
