The LE, TE and hinge-line stock got shaped on the elevators !!!!

Once I get the stabs to this stage, I'll bevel the hinge line and finish up the Durant install

Jack - I'm liking your idea of the NUBS!!!!

Time to do some shaping
Going to try it this way on my next build
I didn't have any issues with my Edge, but its always goos to try different methods

Whoa!...what a surprise.

Those NUBS just look way to cool!

Did you see how straight the trailing edge was Trevor?

Here are a few shots of the hinge line stock blended into the stabs.

And for Jack - some close-ups of the elevators NUBS !!!!

I think my next personal build will have Nubs - they

My goal for tomorrow is to get the hinge line bevelling done, hinges installed, and the entire Durant System finished up for the stabs. I'd also like to drill the servo wire lead tunnel and get anti-rotation pins installed... Gonna be a busy day!!!

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

Lots of progress this afternoon while my boys were having a nap!!

Hinge Line Bevelling!!!

I first made up my templates, marked my angles and then shaved them down with a razor plane and used a big sanding bar to touch them up at the end

Re: BBT/WINGBURNER --> 4 REDHEADS and a CARDEN

Here are a few shots of the stab and elevator bevels completed.

If done carefully, the holes in the Durant box should line up perfecty with the hinge line and at max throw, the bevels should fit perfectly together.

Time to hinge them together!!!
