It ran like an absolute champ with the RCexL ignitions. Exact same performance and perhaps even a better start.

Totally stoked!! Here's the video! Sorry for the wind - was blowing really hard!
Very nice Trevor!

I will now order some ignitions as well, although mine is a lot simpler setup than yours.

Anyone have an extra dime?

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

Just a little update on the MVVS190!! I've got about 35L through this motor on my Carden 126" 260 and it has so far performed flawlessly. It has taken a looooong time to break in and has been a bit of a challenge chasing the tune as the breakin process happened. But it continues to get stronger and stronger

Last night, I got in 3 more flights after a slight tweak to the low end needles and I was blown away even more... Best it has even run.

Pretty confident to say that this MVVS190/smoothpipe combo outperforms the 3w220cs/ks pipe combo.

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

WOW, incredible Trevor. I'd say it's the best running quad I've ever heard.

Seems it has tremendous power as well.

I'd hoped to get the 175 running but it's looking like a next year thing.

Sweet flying as well!!!

Something so, so sweet to the quads. However Dale... The ZDZ180 will always have a very special place in my heart. Stick to your guns and keep on the 180 path... a dynamite motor at 1/2 the cost of this beast.
Thank-you Trevor. I read this thread complete last eve. Yes, best stick to "The Plan"

I do have the headers/pipes coming for the 180 already.

Nice work Gentlemen.

Now, a used ZDZ 180 is going to make it's way to Camrose.
Add, my ZDZ 160 is a dream of an engine.

Trevor best wishes on you decision to sell the 190.

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

Yes Dale!!! Snap up that ZDZ180 / Suhkoi and enjoy!! The 180 is still the strongest twin of the class by far and even gives most of the big displacement quads a run!!

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

Well... I was finding the MVVS190 was just too strong for my 42lb Carden. Regardless of the 2-blade (30x13W to 34x12) it would rip above 1/2 throttle and just too much torque on the low end making it tough to get a really smooth hover. A tough problem to have LOL. But made it tricky on the down low stuff.

So for kicks I put on a Mej 28.5x12 3-blade. The prop is too small and not extracting full thrust but it's the perfect combo!!! I'm sure this would spin a 31" or 32" prop, but there's just enough slip to make it the best feeling prop I've tried so far.

Here's video Brad shot today. I love the howl

According to the telem, static rpm was 6820rpm and unloaded I got a max rpm of 7650rpm, LOL

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

Wicked response. Do you still have a 30" coming?

Re: Mvvs 190cna-4

No I don't. Debating if I should get a 30" or just stick with this one. I'll likely put some more time on this one and see. Tough to mess with a good thing
