No rush at all, Dan, leave them with Dale sometime if you can. Thanks!

Hey guys kinda off topic but most of you fly larger stuff. Have any of you self cleared a package coming in freight from the US? It would not be coming ups or FedEx.

The difference to the border or my door is $100 bucks which would be the same as gas.

Thanks

Yes, you need to find out which crossing they will be using. Find yourself a broker at that crossing, gather up all the info from the shipping company, fax to your broker and they'll take care of it. However the broker will charge you a fee as well. You can ask them what it'll be when you talk with them. It could be as much as your gas money.

Ken, I have used the "At the Border" warehouse in Sweetgrass, Montana. Have your packages shipped there and bring it across the border yourself. Only have to pay GST (no PST in Alberta )

http://www.attheborderstorage.com/

I use them often, it is simple, they have reasonable rates, and conversing with them has always been a painless process.

And like mentioned before you only have to declare the item and pay your gst and your on your way.

And then of course you could stop by the windy west and show us the prize!!!!

For the non-believers.
Two of the old guy's in our club, Trout Farm Fliers. Went to check out a potential float-fly site for some float flying.

The guy's are so good. They never even took any kind of boat.
