I read a comment from a modeller in the states who actually went to a fun fly at Hazel Sig's home (unbelievable!). He talked to her, and she said she was mad about how the company was being run these days. She said the owners (who I thought were her kids...) were just pocketing the profits and not reinvesting in the business, which means that they weren't really doing anything new or trying to keep their business relationships strong.

Maybe they should get new ownership...

Again, SIG was sold about 10 or so years ago. There were two buyers if memory serves me right - no relations ship to Hazel or Maxey and I dont believe they were modelers themselves.

The company was put up for sale earlier this year. If someone or some organization did purchase the company, it should be a positive thing.

I'll have to keep my eyes open in the classifieds for some of the kits I would like to double up on. Sure glad I snagged a couple of spare kits last winter.
