Re: TopFlite Giant Zero

So it's almost there, just need to set control throws, check C of G, and stall a switch for the receiver.
The weight so far ( minus the switch ) is 25.4 lbs, the manual says 25.5 to 27.5 so I'm looking good there!

All in all thou, now that it's all together, not bad. The problems with fuselage are more apparent when it's just the fuselage but your eyes don't focus on it once it's all together.
I'm not going to Top Gun with it! but, for $800 I did expect a bit better finishing job.

If all goes well, maybe a maiden this weekend.

John

Re: TopFlite Giant Zero

I`d recommend flying it for a season, and if you really like it, consider stripping, glassing, and then paint, panel lines, rivet detail, etc. Better to fly it and work out all the bugs prior to all that effort!

Re: TopFlite Giant Zero

....... pilot, please.

Otherwise, I think it looks like a zero and the panel lines won't be noticed at 80mph.

Re: TopFlite Giant Zero

Thanks, flies as advertised, no real bad habits.
The good news I can fiber glass one and the added weight won't be an issue.
