There are some incredibly trusting people. i have a Bank Draft in Halifax for $450.00 US funds that a chap from Australia sent me for an engine I wasn't even trying to sell, he saw a post I made saying that I had a &*%^ engine and he talked me into selling it. I told him I would not be in Halifax ( where the engine is ) until sometime in May in order to send it out to him. He said "that's OK send it when you can".

Now this guy has no idea who the heck I am or even if I have a &%^* engine but sent me $450.00 US anyway. Now he will get the engine from me even if I have to Swim to Aussie Land to deliver it but his trust just blew me away.

If you pay with pay-pal is there any way of traking the money??

What I understand is with paypal if you pay through it and there is an issue then they will reverse the payemnt. There is a a lot of paperwork and stuff to do this. Also if the person you pay the money to withdraws the money and then closes the account then you are SOL

Thats why is is sooooo important to ensure that we leave feedback from those we buy or sell to. So, others know who they are dealing with.

If we have a problem with people not wanting to leave any info in there profile, especially when it is a large amount I would suggest not even going near them. I would also contact them by phone to verify the sale and if it is a cell hang up. A regular number should be on your bill at the end of the month so then you have a location. The regular posters not selling or buying can leave it empty but to me there is always that suspicion involed if I am getting ripped.
I have only been taken once in over 40 years with RC and that was last year. I consider myself lucky but also realize with the internet it is likely to happen again.
