4mm quick connect for wings?

My new retracts are using 4 mm air line. I would like to make them hook up automatically when I insert the wing into fuselage. All I can find is 3mm stuff. Any ideas? I need three lines.

Thanks again

4mm festos ? Dreamworks has a multi connect but I'm not sure if they are 4mm. Paul, uses them and likes them.

Hey Peter,

I've never seen a 4mm disconnect but, a few options might be to: 1. heat n stretch 3mm line over your 4mm nipples. 2. step down with a festo 4mm to 3mm connector. 3. replace the retract nipples with a 3mm festo fitting.

What size fittings are on your retract and door valves? I'm guessing 3mm so, in that case, you may as well kick it all down to 3mm.

BTW, I had the same issue on the two CARF Hawks I built and I used option # 2 on one of them and # 3 on the other.

Mike

Re: 4mm quick connect for wings?

On my Futura I used a 4mm Festo bulkhead fitting in the fuse and just plugged the two lines from the wing into them at assembly. I was skeptical but it was simple to do and never had a leak. The smaller brake line i used a threaded brass fitting.
