Re: Futaba 2.4 ghz

The low voltage issues are exaggerated in my opinion. The same battery pack that will run your servos in a 72 Mhz system should be adequate in a 2.4 Ghz system. Unless you are trying to seriously cut weight a standard battery pack should be fine.

If you are really worried you could run a 2 cell A123 flight pack or a UBEC and a 2 cell lipo.

Re: Futaba 2.4 ghz

Check your receiver pack under load before each flight and you will never have to find out what the reboot time of a FASST system is

Nothing I said related specifically to electric powered flight.

To check your battery under load you need to connect a volt meter in parallel to your flightpack and then apply force on the control surfaces to simulate the flight loads on the servo. Watch the voltmeter and see if it dips below the threshhold for your particular radio.

Running a 5 cell 6 volt flightpack will give you a larger margin than the 4 cell 4.8 volt pack that you currently use.
