Unhappy da 120cc

I've just purchased a DA 120cc with mufflers. My question is: shouldn't there be a coil visible, coil that would heat up the smoke before being released into the muffler??? I contacted DA Engines and asked if the mufflers were smoke ready, I was told that if there is a orifice into the main body of the muffler then they are smoke ready. I'm confused. Can somebody please help.???

Re: da 120cc

These engine provide more then enough heat to make endless clouds of thick dense smoke. Coil not required.

Re: da 120cc

My understanding is a smoke ready muffler just has a fitting to be able to pump smoke in. An actual smoke muffler has the coil you are talking about. The DA smoke mufflers I have for my DA 150 has the coil, and they cost more.

Re: da 120cc

I had the same dilemma, I was told by Jeff at DA that gasoline engines run so hot that they do not need a coil. His point was proven because I do have a smoke system on my Extreme Flight 110"with a DA 120 and Sullivan skywriter and the smoke I get it's unbeleivable> Frank
