Futaba 7C question

I have a Futaba 7C 2.4ghz radio for my two helis. When I set throttle hold for 0 as a safety measure (No 3D with me) my collective pitch goes to zero and causes slight binding of my servos. What I want to know how to adjust pitch curve when throttle hold is on, or do I have to move the servo horns one notch to avoid binding. Or is there a better way of having a switch to hold my throttle at idle but not effect my pitch.

Check the manual under collective pitch adjustments. If memory serves, you can set a separate pitch curve in the 7C for normal, Idle up 1 & 2 and also for for autos (throttle hold).

Check out pages 67 & 68 of the manual.

Re: Futaba 7C question

So If I set up idle 1 or two I can adjust my pitch to be at those settings when the throttle hold switch is on?

Yes, or I think any other pitch setting that you may want to use instead.

Re: Futaba 7C question

Don't forget you have end point adjustments as well. Don't mixup thottle hold and throttle cut, it may get ugly if you try auto's. Nice radio you'll like it more and more as you get used to it.

Re: Futaba 7C question

I'm trying out the expo to see if it gives a better control feel, a lot more to this radio than my old one. I like it so far.

Re: Futaba 7C question

One more question. Can I use 3 cell lypos with this transmitter? Can the radio handle 12.6 volts?

I have heard that some people do. But I just ordered "Turnigy nano-tech 2100mAh 3S1P 20~40C LiFePo4 Transmitter Pack" which will give you the right voltages. If you go this way, check that your charger can handle LiFePo4 batteries; they're not the same as LiPO.
