I had a Firehammer clone before and most of the plastics were brittle also the steel they used was poor quality and the treads would strip easy. Even though you could replace most of the parts it wasn't worth it since it would cost you if not more in the long run. It's good to see someone with one to see how reliable it is, you never know maybe China has improved their quality. Thanks for letting us know how yours preforms.

i bought this as my return into the hobby, as i am taking a break from my other hobbies, i do plan to get the baja 5t whne it comes out, possibly maybe get an ss if they come out with one by x-mas, and this clone will become a back up or somthing for the wife to run while i run mine.

heres an update with pics, added a rear dom, added an 8000rpm clucth spring, blue beadlocks but not pictured, upgraded to the stock filter with outerwears.





.

on the side note, i still do have propblems of bogging ar aorund 1/3 throotle after a few good highspeed runs, still havent determined wat is the cause of this.

OK so now that you are bashing it ,is it as easy to get replacement parts as just going down to the LHS and getting HPI parts?

No it's not. A K8T is 1/8 scale only whereas the 5T is a 1/5 scale.

yes as, i havent ran into any major issues, i know i had to mod the clucth fo fit the 8k springs, rebiuld the shocks with the proper orings, im trying to keep the cost down on this little guys as i will be setting it aside as spare parts for my 5t wen i do get one.
