new Low cost Quanum vRx - with Spektrum analyzer

normally I am not veyr excited by new chinese receivers. I see not much benefit over what I have already. No need for diversity, or scanning etc imho. Better to invest in antennas for bank-for-buck signal reception imho

But now HK has kicked it up a notch. They have exploited the scanning technology in their receiver to produce a Spektrum analysys graph, right on the receiver! In addition to be a Raceband ready, 40ch receiver with true diversity (albeit some say the diversity is weak).

The beauty of this is it gives you a chance to check the airwaves for any nearby noise or other FPV flyers operating. Thus:
1/ you can check the airwaves and know when not to turn on your vTx, which could cause the other guys to crash
2/ can check for clean noise floor, perhaps
3/ can check your own vTx frequency as some are confusing to tune using dip switches
4/ can use the analysis the help separate fellow racers and club flyers

Now I have not received this unit yet. I have no idea how good or bad it is yet.

Up until now the best you could do is scan the channels one by one yourself. Or buy a RFExplorer unit at a cost of $365USD! Of course this inexpensive one is slower and less detailed. But seems to do the job without much clutter and confusion.

anyone tried this unit yet? I think I will order it up, and make it a self contained pocket analyser.
