I am going to paint my Habu foam jet and wonder if there are any easy foam safe paints I can use?

Thanks...

Re: Paint for a Habu Foam Jet

I've had good luck with krylon fusion, it's for plastics. I've used regular krylon as well and seems to be ok as well. Neither affected the foam on parkzone birds and a hobbyzone supercub. I expect the fusion will hold up better.

Re: Paint for a Habu Foam Jet

I agree with perry. Krylon does work well with EPO foam. You must NOT use masking tape or any other kind for the straight edges. When you peal it off, you will remove the glassy finish on the surface and open up the EPO cells, that will leave a very unapealling look. Best way is to cut stencils and very carefully tape the ends down with low tack tape, or better still..just hold them in place with your hand.

Re: Paint for a Habu Foam Jet

Here's a pic of my buddies plane we painted with Krylon. He maidened it with no paint. For orientation, he put tape on the wings. You can clearly see were he had taped it.

Re: Paint for a Habu Foam Jet

I've used Testors spray enamel for all my GWS planes, my lastest one is a GWS Mustang...

I've used Testors for years and it never ate the foam,
