After a fals start, I found by myself that the ZDZ180 is an absolute unreal, wild and crazy monster! I bet in few more flights it will match the top end of the M220, but like Trevor said "at a fraction pf the weight".

After 14 flights and still on 32:1 mineral oil mix, it spins the 31x12 three blade Mueller at 6060rpm on the ground, and once in flights unloads few hundreds rpm more. Those are some reruous HP.

I still have some idle shaking, but I have to say that it's set real low, and with some more running time and some fine tuning I can get most of the vibration out.

Now that I got the ZDZ224, I can only hope it has e the same specific power of it's "smaller cousin".

If the 40cc more works as planned, the 224 is gonna be the new king of the hill.

Congratulations Daniele. A great feeling, when your toys give you pride/joy. Add fun.
Many of us are watching you, and your 224. I trust all will be great with it.

Jeff, I will be burning lots of fuel this season. This 170CS will get a large amount of it, ha-ha.
Yes I was flying inverted passes on the test flight, from my stool of course.
Doug approved of my stool. Yet one more pilot photo for my collection.

Congrats Dale. Nice plane. But watch those inverted passes! I got carried away today while doing inverted harriers, and tried to drag the rudder!!! It was successful! Problem was the canopy, cowl and prop wanted to play too on my last pass! LOL

I gonna try Trevor's idea, and mount a second set of gear on the top off the plane!

Humour is nothing more than Tragedy plus Time. I hope you've had long enough to find the humour in those photo's. Those will go down in your history. And for that I congratulate you. Hope you still had a ball though.
If you ask me, "Right down the centerline" (well close enough).

I was actually laughing pretty hard. Especially when Trevor said "I didn't even yell LOWER this time"!
New prop and an hour or two of work and it be as good as new! It was pretty close to the center line, which reminds me a gotta patch the runway too! LOL
