I have a few E helis including a Lite machines I bought in 96 and converted to electric. Been flying it with a Himax 3516 and a li-ion 3 cell. flies well but not a lot of power and pooping the batt out prematurely in as much as I only putting about 750 MA back into the 1500 ma li-ion. Yesterday I wired up a 4 cell 15 volt pack. Made a whole new heli out of it A lot more giddyup and go. about twice the run time and put back in 1278 MA. It pays to experiment a bit. Now I can pile it in with a lot more airspeed and style. If you want a bigger "E"heli, Check out the Hurricane 550. Well worth the bucks and takes the Makita batts well.
Gord. Have fun.

No secrets Norm. You can see them at CTC or Home Depot. I get them from Home Depot for $119 bucks a piece for the 18 V batts. You have to be very careful taking them apart as they are partially charged. These are Li-ion cells, not lipos. What 22v batts do you mean?
