I am interested in being able to trigger my camera electronically, are there any units I can buy?

Just mount a small servo to the camera and use your gear channel to trigger it. Set the travel adjust to depress the shutter button.

Early on, I was using 2 sided tape on every mission because this was also my regular camera. Worked great.

Try googling harbortronics digisnap. I have one that I may sell if you are interested. Used it in my camera plane on a Nikon digital camera. Worked very well.

I see that Blip now has zoom control on their switch.
http://www.blip.com.au/Products/UrbiRC.aspx
I have a Canon 3S1S that this would work with. Also the camera has video out so that view of the pic to be taken can be seen from a base station. Found this product that seems to be just the ticket, any comments?

Thanks for the info on the Blip. It looks very good. Looking at getting one.
In their test, I found my camera also calls the p2p (peer to peer) mode by the name Pictbridge.

Black Widow downlinks are very good.(I have one of their other models) If someone has the 200Mw transmitter, I would like to know what kind of effective range you get?

I have the 200mw 900mhz version and I'm using an 8dbi patch antenna for the receiver and stock for the tx.

I haven't had the heli maybe at most 600ft up and 150-200 ft out.

Are there any license requirements for the Black Widow. I read on their site that in the US a HAm lic. is req'd, but recall hearing its not the case in Canada.
Some of you may want to look at the Prism trigger-http://www.hexpertsystems.com/prism/index.html

I'm using one of the blip's for my canon S2 and the prism hexpert to trigger the nikon 8400.

They both work great although I've found the blip has some delay in taking shots but it doesn't affect the way I shoot.

Both 900mhz and 2.4 freq we can use in Canada.
