Hi everyone,

I just bought a TXT and expect it to be delivered soon. I am looking for any advice to get started.

I bought it off of ebay.

Here was the description. I also received the stock tires and rims and stock body along with everything listed. You can also see in the pics what has been done and what is included.

ARTR Tamiya TXT-1

Bought it brand new with the intention of turning it into a 14’r. It has never been ran, because it has never been completed. It includes ALL the original stock parts as well as some aftermarket parts.

What’s included:

Every stock TXT part including manuals and decals

Dynamite Red Seal bearings (installed)

Pro-Line Maxx Masher 2000 Tires (two tires have been siped)

Pro-Line Velocity Dish wheels w/ 14mm hex

Traxxas Revo Drivelines (modified) and a extra pack of pins
Traxxas E-Maxx 12T, 13T and two 15T 32 pitch pinions

HPI Nitro MT rear shocks (qty 4)

Custom stuff done:

Chassis has been cut in the “normal” fashion that many other members have done.

Modified the chassis to accept the rocker arms as shock towers (drilled holes)

Shortened the stock links

Cut the bumpers to used them as shock mounts

I made one side of the tranny mount. Never got around to making the other side.

I also have a Novak GTB ESC and the 18.5T crawler motor for it. I will be using my 7.4v 5000mah lipos to power it.

Any advice, tips tricks, parts help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Looks like you are off to a great start! I built/own a TXT 14'r and have alot of fun with it. I personally would not use the canti shock setup. Just standard maxx size shocks work best. Mine also runs maxx masher tires, and i find them too short, as i get hung up alot on the diffs. 4 wheel steering is really necessary for these trucks as well. Get some pics up when you get it finished
