Keep up the great work Sharpy.

My only note: 4.5 Graphic notes "Tethered UAV's would be treated as obstacles - lit and marked over 50 feet"

That could turn out to be an interesting requirement for (non-MAAC) control line flyers.

The idea occurred to me of a division within MAAC since it does make sense to base a new "organization" on an existing successful one.

Is there a way to reconcile the non-profit recreational nature of MAAC with the highly competitive racing where the prize money is pretty significant? It's even on TSN now.

Electric flying is pretty much seeing how close to a dead short you can run without setting it on fire.

Dunno, but a bridge that needs to be crossed.

I am by no means an insurance guy, however, indoor flying/events will not be regulated and I would assume that the organizers of a competition with significant prized money would have arranged their own liability coverage?

I would expect that is true.

Maybe the insurance part of MAAC would not come in to play but if done from within MAAC there could be a starting point for non-conflict safety rules for outdoor events that ultimately confine it to a controlled environment.

I will be interesting to see how things may play out as regulations get finalized.
