OK guys please explain to me as to what is just plain wrong. Call it old age or just plain smart as a marble but I want to understand what you two mean by that.

It mean that's crazy he can fly that well like that in that confined space... aka: I'm so jealous. It was a compliment on the awesome skills

I'd crash a 230S

Re: 700 size heli indoor flying

it's understandable why he crashed as there's little else to contrast the heli from the roof except the orange on the canopy. Once grey fades into black or the other way with white like on a hazy overcast evening it becomes hard to make out what the heli is doing except by watching the direction the heli blot is going, unless it's too late like when his heli blades faded into the ceiling.

Re: 700 size heli indoor flying

I have followed Colin and he has been insightful and helpful on another site with lots of pilots asking questions, so his (your) commitment to our hobby is unquestionable. It does take a lot of control to fly large indoors. I fly a lot and I dont know if I would be comfortable flying so big inside so kudos for that!

My concern is that this was supposed to be a demo for non heli types aka drones...

Is showing them a 700 smashing indoors a good way to recruit new heli pilots? Would you honestly buy your kid a chopper after you saw that or stick to your drones?

With all due respect Colin: if you are representing helis to a drone crowd, I don't consider an epic smash to be a positive representation of RC helicopters - you should have kept it simpler but I suspect the sounds got your adrenaline going and I cant say that I would have done any better.

A- for effort.

Happy Landings!
