Re: New HK battery for um planes

They are currently back in stock (for probably less than 30 minutes!), but my order still say processing.

If you don't mind doing your own thing, the 240s eally work well. the MSR gets a honest 10 mins. and doesn't even know its there. I took a 2 cell180 apart and made 2 single cells. They're a little lighter for the 4 Site and work very well too.

Re: New HK battery for um planes

Mine also shipped, but did you notice the fact that the first review is pretty bad... Doesn't seem to work on the 4-Site (which is mainly why I bought some...)

P.S.: Now, it does seem, from another review, that it does work, but it's overated.... Well, as long as it work as good (or close enough) as the E-Flite 150mah, I'll be happy. Otherwise, as other have said, Vapor, Mustang and Suhkoi will likely be happy with them.

Re: New HK battery for um planes

I've heard good things about the Hyperion G3 lipos. However, there are only a few US retailers that have them... and only 1 or 2 that ship international.

Re: New HK battery for um planes

Mine just arrived today... Cycling them with my Vapor for a few charges before trying them in the mSR or Mustang. They're a bit longer (~1/4") than the Flightmax 138's, and probably about 0.25 - 0.5 g heavier.

I did plug one into the mustang very briefly, and they seem to have more punch than the eflight 120's, and definitely more than the Flightmax 138's.

Re: New HK battery for um planes

No point in cycling lipos, unlike nicad or NMH. Just don't push to them to hard for the first few cycles.

Re: New HK battery for um planes

That's exactly why I'm cycling them.... Flying at less than half throttle in the Vapor keeps current draw low for a few charges. Can't keep the current that low in the mSR or Mustang no matter how carefully you fly them.
