..... article says these pix have been circulating on the internet since at least April 2, 2001.

That's hilarious. The hoax identifies an N1 Herc Strap Lockout kit as seat-belts. The real bull-crap part is that somebody did a Rev flight with it. Lots of planes have flown this way as a ferry to maintenance base. I helped with install on a 727 a few years back so it could get south. Only certain qualified pilots are certified to do the 2 engine ferry flight.

That's why executives get a bit nervous sometimes when you get something like that in the hangar for maintenance and start taking pictures of it. They hate the idea of them ending up in the wrong hands.
