Re: I just falled in love !!!
I forgot to say that i cannot go on with a smoke system on this one, because the inside fuse has not enough room to have 2 16 onces tanks side by side...
Also bought a brand new Futaba radio, to get throttle curve and differencial, i will pick it up tomorrow at AMR.. |

Re: I just falled in love !!!
Here we go with some pics of the Slick...
Not much done but still... Cutted the cowling. Will have to do more for the muffler though.. temporally installed the EME 35, for the cut of cowling.. But one thing though !!! how do i get to set the throttle linkage and the choke.. not used with this engine.. usaly with the DLE it is on the right side looking at the front of the plane... now all is at the very bottom !!! also i went and picked up my brand new Futaba 14SG... as well as a pair of pilot Rayban sunglasses the carbon fiber version with cristal lenses. I paid myself a birthday gift !!!! yep today 54 years old !!! gosh... |

https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/show...goldwing+slick If you go to post #4 you will see how I installed my throttle servo on the EME35. I stopped using a servo for the choke and now use nylon rod. It is cheap, light weight and works great. You just need to add some support for the Nylon rod between the motor and exiting the fuselage. By the way I see you had trouble with a cheap smoke pump. When I built the Goldwing Slick I installed a Hobby King spoke pump for $26US and it worked great. The only reason I removed it was to lighten the plane for better 3D performance. Let me know if you have any questions |

Re: I just falled in love !!!
Your welcome. When I install the Nylon rod I also heat some shrink tubing to end outside of the fuselage so it is a little easier to grab. You can see it in picture 2. Make sure the bend is gradual so there is no kinking or binding...also look at where the wing joins to the fuselage so you don't exit the rod in the same place.
