only if his wall charger is rated to charge a nimh instead of a nicad... is it? I doubt it.

Eh Gump, do think i could use a Duracell C for back up, if i`m out and the rechargeable one dye`s, would the Duracell work ??

its been years since i've used alkaline batterys for glow ignitors... i used to have a d-cell pack that had 4 in parallel, and if i recall correctly, they really didn't last that long. mI would imagine that a single c-cell alkaline wouldn't last too long, but should work as a quick backup.
Someone with direct experience regarding the alkaline will have to make further comments.

If you don't already have one,go get one of the tops for your glow plug ignitor that has a battery life indicator on it,screws on in place of the normal top.
