I've always supported my local shop. I've only needed help twice before, this helicopter being one, and they have always given me the best. It does help that they are less than 10 minutes away. How some people do this hobby with their local shop hours away, I'd be broke, buy seconds and thirds just so I would have stock.

Take care, Daren

Re: Beginner questions

You're lucky.

Before I became a vendor, I had to drive 45mins to my nearest LHS .... I always bought spares anyway, then I'd never have to be down or need to drive into the city for parts on a whim. :P

Re: Beginner questions

The 120sr was my first fixed pitch heli, it is great. I suggest putting the trainning gear on it for the first couple weeks. The 120 flies great out of the box I thought. I would wait untill you get it in the air before you start modding it. JMTC.

Thanks, I put some gear on it today, and got several decent hovers so all is good. The mods I did were just to secure the motor a bit better, just a tie wrap around the mast and motor, and trim off the top of the left aft gear leg. It pokes thru the main frame, and its near the left servo, so on a hard landing, it can trash the servo.

No aluminum grips, no carbon anywhere, just fly it. I've got a long way to go.

Thanks all. Daren
