On the Canada Day weekend.
I found out that you cant do high speed loops with out a zillion rubber bands on --
The wing fluttered down so sweetly, not a sscrach.
T he rest of the Sig senoritas descended full throtle into the hard packed gravel runway.we found the OS40 bluMax Carb in a 4in deep hole. put it all in a garbage bag to bring home. To my amazement the Electronics still work . dimantle'd the OS40 cleaned all the parts and reassembled it.

Ken of great Hobbies (edmonton) found a new carb.($28.99) so it should be ready to pull the repaired senouritas back through the skys of Port McNeill (as soon as I can find the planes)
Will forward Photos when they get back.

Lawrence ...

do everyone a HUGE favor and DO NOT fly that receiver ever again!

on a side note ... I think that crash galleries and crash videos are absurdly detrimental to the image of the hobby! Yes, crashes do happen ... but they should be far from expected and certainly not celebrated!

(on deadline and cranky)

Crashes should not be celebrated???
I guess you are right, but what should happen and what does happen are two different things...I bet that you can't find anyone who HONESTLY doesn't feel a sick sense of joy after seeing a really good crash...Hell, I even enjoy watching my own plane crash if it's a real good "show stopper" right on centre stage!.....maybe I'm the only sick one...

PS...if you want to see pictures of my last crash, look up "midair revenge" in the general discussion section...just don't celebrate

John

Re: Celebrating Crashes!!

Have to admit that I had that sick sense of joy seeing your plane go in John!! Or maybe it was because mine actually flew away this time???!?!?

Personally I think that part of the reason people like to see these crashes is that it shows that even the experts can have bad days and dumb thumbs and really aren't that different from your everday flyer!

Besides, how can you not enjoy seeing a Kangaroo go in at full speed during a knife edge pass??!?! Especially when you can see the turbine itself part ways with the plane!! Now that's good watchin!

Now where's that celebration everyone keeps talking about....

Believe me..........when it goes in......there is this great grief..especially when people are watching..........but then when you look at the destruction of the toy, there is this ow wow...........no celebration.
