I should stop rummaging through old photo albums. I came across this. A Control Line Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter I built from Aeromodeller Magazine plans. Taken at Odiham RAF base, Southern England, 1968.

How I went from this to all out Pylon Racing I will never know!

Sweet looking plane!

I guess control line and pylon would have some similarities; circular motion

Bipes: Twice the wings, twice the fun

Yes, absolutely amazing where we were when we had more hair thank today.....

Here's one of me that got published in MAAC Magazine about a quarter-century ago. Don't laugh but I'm thinking of doing another one in depron as a parkflyer.

I'd like to offer a challenge to everyone: post the oldest picture of you or any model that you've built.

This one is probably the oldest for me: Veron free-flight ducted fan (still hanging in the rafters and soon to be the source for an EDF version)

It seems I have started something. This could be fun.

How about this one.

Epsom Downs, home of the Derby horse race. "Aeromodeller Magazine Plan " debutante free flight model. Mills .75 power, I use the word "Power" loosely. Taken in 1954.

This has nothing to do with Model Aviation but I could not resist it. I am sure giving my older sister a hard time. What an obnoxious brat!! Not much has changed EH?

Taken in 1942,

.75 -- I'm going to assume that you mean .75CC and not cubic inches.

I'm assuming you're the one getting mauled by the young lady and not the young lady.... (tongue firmly in cheek, but you can never tell with the English -- met my wife at a costume party -- Mae West for me, angel for her....) Yes, I have an English background and thoroughly enjoy pantomimes.)
