She wouldn't get back up for a while after getting hit by a nitro monster truck going 15-20mph! OUCH!

hahahahahahah, oh man, that's a funny clip.

You can't tell from that vid, but it's only a matter of SECONDS after she screams "hey, this place is for BIKES!" that she gets creamed...

here's a less edited version, and you can see how soon after she yells at him that it happens:

Theres nothing funny about that entire situation. The place is for bikes and the operator wasnt being safe around the people on the track in the least.
a 12Lb PLUS truck hitting someone in the chest or head even at low speed is enough to KILL someone. Imagine how funny it would be if she became a quadriplegic after that accident, or if her neck got snapped and she died. I bet you wouldn't be laughing so hard at the comments written on the screen.
This clip shows just how ignorant people can be, and how bad it can look on every last one of us who uses R/C in public places, no matter how safe and careful you're being.

can we please not turn this into a flame thread? there are already hundreds of threads about this exact clip, arguing the exact same things gump has said and more will say.

fact of the matter is that I too think it was very irresponsible of those running the r/c's to continue running after they were yelled at and would never condone it.

HOWEVER, THAT BEING SAID... this could very well have been shown on america's funniest videos or other shows along that nature. clips of skateboarders railsliding gone bad, or bmx bikers flying into trees. Don't ask me why, but slapstick humour makes some people laugh - it always has, always will.

this is a rather old clip - no one became a quadripeligic because of what happened. we can laugh at it BECAUSE nothing serious happened to the girl who got hit.

you may be upset because this casts r/c'ers in a bad light - but with anything, don't judge a community based on one person.

and don't try to make me feel like the devil for laughing at this... i've laughed while watching america's funniest home videos at things i KNOW have hurt more than that.

i've also been on the receiving end of some pretty bad motorbike accidents, and can laugh at MYSELF afterwards too...

i wasnt trying to flame. Just pointing out how serious it really is.
Dropping your icecreamcone is funny. Getting slammed in the upper chest with a 12LB monster truck while travelling towards it isnt.
Thats all.

fair enough... in retrospect I do have to agree it is in bad taste to laugh at something I completely disprove of - it sends the wrong message.
