Re: Byron 1/3 scale Pitts S-1

I had one of these few years ago, it had B/N Turnigy 50CC gas engine with electronic ignition, fired it up couple times, started with couple flips.
Here are few pictures of her, Canopy was functional, it also had access hatch on the right side of the cowl to get to ignition module and engine...

Re: Byron 1/3 scale Pitts S-1

I like the 50 cc I've got from AMR, super cheap, and runs really nice. If money were no object, for sure the Saito! I do like the engine hatch, most aircraft cowls have hatches for checking oil, and basic maintenance, so it's not out of place at all. The sliding canopy thing is the same that's on this one, but I'd rather have proper looking rails, which are easy enough to get. On mine, there's no positive locking device either, so just imagine the canopy sliding back in flight.

So, lots of engine ideas, thanks guys, love getting as much feedback as I can, so post your favorite pic for a colour scheme! I've got a couple in mind, I'll dig those up tomorrow and post!

This one always stuck with me. It flew at the shearwater airshow many times. Classic, simple and sexy!
