LiPo series connection, mahr combo?

Hi Fellow modelers;
I would like to hook up 2 Lipo bateries in series to get 8 to 10 cells total. I have 5 different batteries to choose from.
1 turnigy 4s 2200mah 35-45c
2 turnigy 4s 5000mah 35-45c
3 ghobbies 5s 4200mah 25-50c
4 zippy 6s 2200mah 40c
5 zippy 5s 2650mah 40c
Can I hook up any 2 together? eg 1+2, 1+4, 3+5
Can you mix capacities? (mah)
Can you mix brands? (zippy vs turnigy)
I would like to keep weight down (at first) so would probably favor 1+5 or 1+4.
What do you think? Do you have to match the MAH capacities?
thx. John

John in short its not a good idea. for best results use 2 batteries of the same C rating and Mah rating you could mix brands but i would not even do that.

Ditto for what Steve said, bad idea & could be expensive, & could cost you a plane.

Re: LiPo series connection, mahr combo?

He's right. Use the same mAh and C rating for running in series.

Yup same Mah, Voltage, & C rating are all important, as is overall battery condition (life).

For running batts in // or ser. they should be identical and purchased together.
