Just got my FLY RC magazine in the mail today.
Andrew's 2nd review is good. Nice pictures of the dis-assembled engine and one with Andrew wearing a cool t-shirt! Nice touch!

The engine review is decent. FLY RC could have done better with the cover shot though IMHO.
The Funtana 90 looks wierd with the cowl not mounted on very straight....

I also realize the cowl is mounted that way to compensate for the right thrust mounting of the engine but it doesn't look very neat..

I allways look like I just did something wrong....

Derrick, that was my 3rd printed review. The Supertigre 40 was #1, the Norvel 40 was #2 and the Saito 82 was #3... they allready have the next three... and I am feverishly working on 4 more to keep me going through the winter months! People (me included, before I started this) probably dont have any idea how long it actually takes to do one review from the running, writing and flying part to the pics and getting it edited, etc. I spent at least 1/2 of my flying this summer "working" for the mag. Not complaining, its a lot of fun and I am loving it!

OOPS! I had forgotten about the Norvel review, sorry about that. I do think the picture layout is a bit better in this review compared to the Super Tiger one.

Well, as I go along, more of my pics are usable for one thing (it took me a while to get the hang of it and I am learning each time I take more pics) and I am giving them more to work with. Believe me, the layout dept does one heck of a job!

Look at the last issue of RCM (which I have and still do subscribe to since I was in my teens) and how the cover and inside shots are. NO comparison in my opinion- Fly RC does have the best pics in the business, if you ask me. I still feel like mine are "not quite up to the level" of the rest but I am trying!

Deano,
I have three complete (from scratch / raw castings only) engines to build for customers this winter, and many parts and stuff allready booked up. I plan to be very busy this winter (what else!) and I am expecting my new milling machine to arrive in October.. Should help me get more done as well. I have a few of my own projects to tackle as well but you know they usually take a back seat to paying customers...

Now, if I could only teach the wife to be how to run the lathe... and I would be ALL set!

Could make for a really cold winter...
