Re: Warbird picture thread

Beautiful looking planes you have Paul! How did you do the finishing? It looks like you used an air brush at some point.

Re: Warbird picture thread

Thanks Cory... Started with the Dego Red and stripped and completely recovered...all covering except bottom which was an automotive paint. Flames scaled from real dego red and then had local sign guy whip them off. Yellow and White stripe is over cover cut to shape and laid down.... Used soap to move decals while putting on. Took quite the effort and became a hanger queen so decided to do the Red Bull and try paint over the covering...Wanted to do quicker and use as practice plane. Used 2 different paints to get blue then combination of paint...yellow and silver and the rest are all hand cut decals except for the Red Bull words....Had those made at local sign shop. Hand cut...ya I know what you are thinking...The winter is long and I wanted to give it a try. Definitely easier to have a sign guy do but was rewarding when done.

Very nice. I have the Top Flite kit on my wish list. What do you have for an engine in it?
