BVM Rafale - twice the fun, or double trouble!??

Well, it's likely the last thing I need but I've always liked the Rafale (almost bought the AD version two years ago) and have heard nothing but great things about the bvm version, especially surrounding the landing gear.

This is a used airframe but the Price was just too good to turn down. It's set up as a twin (had a pair of VT 80's). Thinking a pair of k140's would be fun. I'm sure K100's would fly it to. Doesn't include electronics or turbines but does include gear, tanks, bypasses, pipes, etc.

Also has the operational drop tanks.

Anyone had one? Feedback?

Never seen one fly. Looks pretty sweet though.

Watch those k140's though. They're pretty porky.

Sean, Although not bvm, I have flown several Rafales.
These are the most fun you can pack in a jet ; they're scale, fast, slow, smooth, agile and very very easy to land. I will never be without a Rafale for sure.
You will be very happy flying this one!!!

Thanks! That sums up what I've heard most say about it. Jack D says he's still smiling 3 days after flying his (twin cheetahs). His dad has twin k180's detuned (so he says) in his. Insane!

Picked up the new addition to the family. Well, not new, it was built around 2000 and needs some TLC, but should be a fun rehab!

Thanks. It really needs some tlc but I've decided to get it flying and have some fun with it this summer then refinish over the winter. Let it earn its new colors.
Going with a pair of K140's. Will post here as I proceed.

Re: BVM Rafale - twice the fun, or double trouble!??

Cosmetically I'm not going to do anything to this until after it's done some flying. Did a quick assembly check then started pulling all the gear out to start a fresh install. Besides getting the plane full of fuel, I also found a bunch of loose screws rolling around in the back of the fuse along with a screwdriver!

One more pic. The previous owner couldn't find the refueling probe so I need to order one of those as well as some tip missiles.
