According to the law everybody must have at least 5% in their "gasoline pool" (term used by Pioneer)

"Gas companies, suppliers and sellers must include a minimum amount of ethanol in gasoline they distribute and/or sell."

Based on the above they are able to meet the requirement by blending lower grades at 10% yet leave 91 ethanol free.

I read a Popular Science article a few years back that showed how ethanol could be produced with a slight net BTU gain if you were very careful about the energy expended to heat it during fermentation. But if you were to move it by truck a short distance to get it to market it suddenly became a net BTU loss.

They thought if specially cultured bacteria were perfected to help the process they might get it more viable. That still would not negate the occupation of arable land that is used to produce the corn that cannot otherwise be used for food production.

Ethanol is possibly the biggest farcical misdirection of energy that the tree huggers have managed to pull off thus far.

This owner/operator that I have spoken to feels the same way, he was very vocal about it. Which is why he said he get only ethanol free gas. I will have to talk to him about the ethanol content in his gas a little bit more it seems..

i stick with sleeman clear i actually lose weight as i drink it

Funny, I tried both and it still wouldn't run right, and the smell!!!!
