No rivets, for the same reason our models don't... It's glued together!

Re: Don Smith 1/6th Mosquito builds

It was indeed, and it was a composite structure, with virtually no bulkheads, excepting for mounting wings, empennage, cockpit, etc. Plywood inner skin, balsa core, ply outer skin, covered in fabric and dope, then painted. Easy as pie to do a scale finish. Glassing works fine, as they filled the weave of the fabric with the dope, primer, and paint. Engine nacelles were metal construction, so look for some rivet detail there. That's about it. I've got tons of Mosquito info, every book the Shearwater Aviation Museum has on them, plus a pile of my own. If anyone needs particular mossie info, let me know.

Re: Don Smith 1/6th Mosquito builds

Wow, you are a god. I don't have any in PDF, all hard/softcover, and I don't have the Walk Around at all . . . . . . Hey, Dennis, I got an email from a guy in Bordon, wanting info on how to start an RC club on the base, using the deactivated runway there! I sent him all of how we went about it, and let him know if we can offer up any more help, to let me know!

If there's any specific info I can help research, let me know, I'll see what I can dig up, and I can scan photos, etc into PDF and email out.

Hey Dave there was a club there for some time until the base got a new head that kicked every one off, would be nice to be back there.
