Strathmore AB, RC Race TraX
Our track is available and accepting members as of May14th, 2011.
May 14 to Oct 16 Saturday and Sunday Regular Hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm *Memberships: $50.00 per season *Day entry: $10.00 Anybody interested in burning up some fuel and discussing this summers RC access is welcome to come out this weekend at Noon. As we are not granted a business development permit we will be running the existing 2 tracks and maintaining as we go. Access will be limited to season members and no public use granted unless a guest with a track member. Please PM me as we will have a few meetings and runs in the next month to sort the season hours and access. All memberships and waiver forms for private land access can be obtained at the track. As we will not be running we will not be advertising the tracks publically. We will support all sponsor banners during track use so if you wish to get your name out please contact me and we will work together to advertise your product to the racers. We plan to allow 1 organized race this year but the details will need to be reviewed and set up to a 1 day event. This will coincide with a concert scheduled for the evening and bonfire if the fire bans are lifted at the time. As this will be a private function we will most likely not be providing any booze service but these details will be worked out in the months coming. We have exhausted all avenues to run the public race park and the county is simply not interested in allowing it. As a private land owner we have rights to use our land as we see fit so long as it is not a nuisance to the surrounding land. This right has been reversed on us due to a small group who do not see the need to provide people with a safe accessable area to for lack of words 'Play'. As we are not an rc club we will allow others to form their own club if they wish as a track members group so if this is an avenue some wish you can discuss on site as we go. As for our rules those will also be discussed at the track so that opinions can be voiced but remember this is my private land so I will make all final calls as to how the land is used. Any volunteer work will be at your own leisure or wishes as I will maintain the tracks with my equipment so that their is little to do other than some grooming or volunteer safety. All membership fees will go directly to fuel, dirt, track barriers and boards etc. All other details we will discuss at the tracks and as we go along this summer. Our oval is ready when the sun is out and the field we can expect to dry up within a couple weeks and expansion to the off road course will begin immediately during the week so that the weekends are open for bashing. We hope the track will be ready to fully run for June if the weather allows. Look forward to meeting you and hope you can enjoy our tracks this summer. |
